Kicker 8" CRV install in the stock box
Kicker 8" CRV install in the stock box
Hey guys and gals, knowing now that there is no adjustments for the pioneer amplifier, I am considering replacing the pioneer subwoofer with an 8" Kicker CVR that I had in my Dodge Ram.
I noticed from the pictures that some of you had installed this very same speaker in the stock location. I am assuming you used the stock box. My plan is to fill the box with polyfill and stick the CVR in there.
My question is this, are there any installation issues. I mean dimension wise, is the CVR the same or similar in size to the Pioneer sub? I supposed really the main dimension concern would be the depth and if there is any difference.
Sorry if this sounds rambling, but I'm tired.
Thought I'd note, I hit the 75 mile marker, had the car for exactly one day now, woo hoo.
Thanks
Nick

Thanks for the information. It will be quite helpful. I think I can get the spacer ring with out a problem from my friend. However, I'm confused about the spacer between the grill and the speaker.
Are you saying to put something betweent the speaker and the grill to keep it from hitting while it occilates? A little clarification will help.
Thanks
