Have an issue VERY similar to this: https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/prob...problem-33584/. Seems between some starts (random), I lose signal to nearly every station.

I see ref to there being an amplified antenna and in another thread removing said amplification to resolve my issue.

A) Does removing power for amplification actually resolve this?
B) The connector in the passenger side is also for the keyless entry, do you "cut" the pink wire?

Disconnecting the amplifier will solve the intermittent part of the problem, by making it chronic. I would not be cutting wires.

The pnk wire is the "radio on" signal. Do you have the Pioneer radio, with a subwoofer?

No sub. To be clear by "cut", I meant remove power. If the amplifier is bad - and seems common - what has been the solution?

First things I would do:
Make sure the mast is screwed in right and not corroded.
Check for voltage on the PNK wire, not sure if it is 5V or 12V. Both ends.

I don't recall anybody resolving except by replacing it.
New ones run around $55. This ebay link has a photo to see how it is installed.

Forgot to say THANKS! The update is I did nothing except wiggle some things and remove one connection to inspect. Been ok since then.
