Passing new wires through door grommet?

I ordered some 250w rms 6.5" door speakers (figured I would try this before I attempt any fiberglass door panels) and I want to run new, direct lines to each speaker.

is there an easy way to pass wires through the factory grommet?

I will be putting 200w rms to each one. I think copper 12awg should do it. I think it will fit too.

Folks have fished speaker wires thru the boots , it’s not an easy job but it’s doable, make sure you reinstall the boots correctly to avoid water damage to those new speakers and rust out the doors and your floors.

A chilling 58©F right now 😢

I made some progress. I think I'll be able to use the 2 empty spots for 16awg wire

question is: is the driver side the same? I hope so.

Don’t forget, 2 of those wires are the existing speaker wires.
Thanks for posting photos of the install.

A bit of a hack job. I was confident in my ability though. And it worked.

Driver side was such a PITA.

I plan to use the stock wiring for some lights, maybe to light up the little cargo area and the 2-bolt holder area thingy. I found some 12v flush mount white lights that would work great.

I can't post pics of the driver side because I screen shotted them from a video. For some reason this website doesn't like screen shots. I even cropped them down to 500kb but nope.
