Sealed Or Ported Sub Encloser
in my jeep i went threw a 15L7 4.75cuft tuned to 28hz.. then i droped it in a sealed box 3.5cuft n felt it sounded alot better.. but i got tired of the SPL thing fast and went with Sq instead.. in the HRR right now i got my old box.. 2 16kv.2s sealed 1.66per driver... i will say the bass sounds better in this car then the cherokee but i get tons of rattleing and the rearview mirror is useless... at this point im all for sealed boxes
They are 2 12" pioneer premier dual 4 ohm subs rated at 1200w max per sub. I am currently running a Memphis 1100d rated at 1100w rms at 1ohm, so somewhere around 550w continuous per sub. I'm currently running off the stock head unit while i gather my money for the eclipse head unit that i want.
I had no complaint with the stock unit until i had a system installed in our expedition and now i know i have to upgrade, the stock unit is just so limited. I have the optional system with the 6 disc changer and sub. The factory sub is still connected and operational, i been planning on disconnecting it but i'm so lazy
