Stock HU XM Display Scrolling...

Hey, everyone. While I'm waiting on a few things to arrive before installing my Alpine W505, I've been enjoying the XM that's still working through the factory headunit. I was wondering, however, if you have to push the "Info" button to see the song/band/station/etc? When listening to regular FM radio the information automatically scrolls and it seems like it should for the satellite radio too. Thanks.

The FM scrolls because thats what the station sends over the airwaves....not all FM stations do this. Xm operates under their own rules...

Thank you for the information. It's not a huge deal as I'm replacing the stock headunit but it is frustrating that the station I listen to usually doesn't auto-scroll.
