Tweeter or upper speaker?
Tweeter or upper speaker?
Does anyone know if the "tweeter" on the dash is actually a tweeter or is it more like a small speaker? Ive put a INA-W900bt in and the speakers seem like they are handling more than just the higher frequencies. If i were to hook up a crossover system to the factory tweeters would that be a good fix or is it going to make it sound like garbage?

I agree, I think they are set up with too wide a range. I dont know of anyone who has done a crossover with the factory tweets, but I dont see why you cant.
Whats there is a simple high pass filter using a capacitor wired across the tweeter. Then its wired in parallel with the door speaker.
Im pretty sure an external crossover setup would help, or a nice head unit with sufficient built-in crossover capabity.
