What head unit have you put in your HHR?
No I can't. It will only allow me to use DVDs or Ipod for videos.
Headrest monitors are TView 7" monitors. (Pics in gallery)
The more songs I save to the drive, the longer it takes to initiate, but once it pulls up the drive, scrolling is pretty much instant. I just run thru the menu and touch the one I want. I do have mine save by catagory...Country, Rap, Rock, Blues, etc...

Yes it is (good eye). It's a PAC one. Just a few bucks on E-bay, but I really like having it instead of trying to use the headunit menu.

No steering wheel controls yet. That is on my list, though. I know it requires a seperate adapter at the head unit.
Nice unit :)
What headrest monitors do you have? Pics please if you have some.
Also, does the hdd work well scrolling through songs? I have my iPod hooked up now, it'd its a 160gb, but I never thought about using one of those little ext drives.
I would like headrest some monitors though!

I'll answer your Question.
Putter bought his First, I LOVED the idea and asked him ALOT of questions.
His are 7" TVIEW Headrests, The Monitors are all Done Complete, PRE installed in new headrests so they are an EASY install.
You get NEW Headrests with the monitors already installed. Just pull out your OEM head rests and install the New ones. SAVE your oem's and reinstall if you ever want to sell or trade in your HHR.
And reuse in your next car.
After talking to Putter, I bought the TVIEW 9" Headrests With 2 wireless headsets, 29 Games Pre Installed with 2 USB wired game controllers and 2 small remotes.
(The games ARE OLD Tech., But, Surprizingly the kids LOVE playing them in the back of my Panel) Afterall, old low tech games are actually NEW to them.
You can get Black, Gray or Tan.
There are Many OPTIONS so make Sure you get what you want.
Here is a link to the set I bought from the same seller. Putter and I both bought from this seller and I was Very pleased with them, Fast shipping.
http://cgi.ebay.com/TVIEW-9-BLACK-HE...item45f51f79ad
The screens have Very Good Picture Quality and you can adjust brightness, contrast, the usual TV type adjustments.
My set was $210.95 with Free shipping, and I think Putters was Under $150.00 with Free Shipping.
AWSOME DEAL for these I think.
In fact, I am thinking of adding the 7" ones that Match my 9" setup to my Rear Seat headrests just for the added COOL factor. At $172.95 for the pair of them it's a relativly inexpensive Mod.
With great WOW factor when seen. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...=STRK:MEWAX:IT
So I'll have the 7" in dash Bypassed so front passenger can watch a movie in front, Pair of 9" headrests in front seats for Rear Passengers, and a Pair of 7" in the back of the Rear Seat for Shows, Tailgate Partying, and cars behind you can Enjoy the Movie as well!
BTW- These do NOT have built in DVD Players! He does sell some with built in DVD players .
With the Pioneer HU I can listen to the Radio, or SD Card while those in back can watch a DVD being played through the HU and or play the games. Mix or match. The Wireless Headphones allows the kids to listen to what they are doing/watching, game or movie seperately. and I Don't have to listen, I can listen to the radio or MP3's unless the front seat passenger wants to watch the movie up front while we drive.

The Black ones are BLACK just as advertised.
Cutting up your OEM headrests can end up looking shall we say, Not so professional looking, when done the first time by someone.
The PLUS with these or Any premade units is they Look Perfect out of the box.
Open the box and install.
If you sell or trade in your car, just remove them, replace the OEM's, and Reuse the headrest monitors in your next car.
Your car is back to OEM for trade in or selling.
If you that worried, take a piece of Black Leather or Vinyl out to your car and see if you can live with it or not.
For the Price and Added Enjoyment I say it's a No Brainer.
