What size sub - Upgraded Pioneer system?

Hey, everyone. I'm looking to upgrade the factory sub in the sevn speaker Pioneer system. I was hoping I could get some ideas of previous installs from you guys. I want to keep the sub in it's factory location but am not sure of how much sub I can fit in there. Thanks.

I put an 8 inch JL sub in the stock location. The Depth really restricts you more than anything else. The stock Box is complete crap as is. You really need to seal it and add some structure to it. It is made out of thin plastic. I used second skin deadening material and wrapped the inside and outside of the box. There was also someone on the site who was selling a fiberglass box that would mount in the stock location. That would have been a better way to go and allowed for more sub options.

Thank you for the constructive reply, Lars. I'll try to find out who was selling that fiberglass box.
