No suspension squeaks here. I had a periodic squeak in the drivers seat and another one I think that was coming from below the top center glove box that have dissappeared. I was thinking that they would have been worse and more repeatable when it go cold for the dealer to find. But the car is squeak free right now. G.B.

I just unsnapped it and put to padding on some of the points it rubbed. Now no noise.
No bed spring noises in my SS in cold (2nd winter it's been through)
Sorry to thread jack, but I do have the shifter console squeaks.... BAD. hyperv6, is yours auto or manual? Any way of taking a pic of the padding you used and how it "unsnapped", so I can do something with mine?

brake problems

Has anyone noticed any brake problems in the cold weather. Today my brakes felt spongy. I was even able to push them to the floor when parked. This was acompanied with a pressure release sound. It was almost like the brakes were beeing bled.

Oh no, I hope you don't have the dreaded SS brake issue. Does this only happen when 1st started? If so, do a search on cold start SS brake issues.

It was simple.

I do have an automatic and the console snaps appart except for two screws at the front behind the storage tray.

All I used for padding is some Butyl rubber. I had a wind shield replacment guy give me a roll of it and it works well for many things.

I just pulled off a small piece of the roll. It is very sticky so I stuck it to where the plastic meets between the two parts. It keep the parts from rubbing against each other.

You could also use a small piece of 3M trim tape. Just don't use a large piece so if it ever needs to come apart you can still get it apart.

As to how it unsnaps pull out the storage tray, take out the two screws and everything pulls straight up from there if I recall correctly.

In a thread here there is a diagram Chevy MGR posted and I used as a guide on where the snaps are.
