This is what the Eibach Pro kit did for mine on 245/40/18s:

The ride is more sporty than stiff, and corners well w/o anti-roll bar. I've also gained 4-7mpg.

I used the goldlines all around and the ride is good, I have never bottomed out. The stance is killer and the addition of the TT bar is sweet! I have also had a full load of adult passengers with no problems. I AM NOT SURE, but I do not believe the eibachs are as low as the gl's. The biggest drawback I see is that you have to watch your head when you are in the back around the liftgate..

You are correct as far as Eibach-Pro are concerned. Eibach-Sport is the Gold Line competitor.

I carry heavy/bulky gear to gigs and didn't want to risk any suspension drama.

Question Few More questions...

OK so I was striking up a conversation about loweing with a mechanic. He warned me that it could throw all the specs out of wack. Also to do some research on the alignment...

1) Anyone have problems with alignment going out frequent?

2) When aligned how was it set to? Stock Specs or modified???

Anyone who could give me some feed back would be greatly appreciated.

So far I think if I do I'm gonna go with the Eibach pro-kit, A) for reputation and praised of this product from consumers with it installed on the HHR and B) It doesn't drop it as low as the GL's and doesn't need a camber kit...

Thanks Peoples!

Only two things to check:

1. Toe: It WILL be effected by lowering.

2. Headlights: Unless the drop is the same at both ends, they will be off.

Noting else to worry about.

Happy dropping!!

I had no problem with alaignment when I lowered mine. Just changed out the springs and went. Goes straight, no tire wear, and no camber.

All BS aside, the advantages of lowering is it Looks Way F'n Cool

Disadvantages are minor, siffer ride (and if you're rolling on 20's TFB you understand the problem with no sidewall)

The whole better handling thing and lower drag and all that...come on...it's a fridge on wheels.

Again, the advantages to droping it...just like your 20's...it just looks Bad Ass!

we had our hhr lowered, no alignment or camber issues at all. tires wore out normally. no premature wear. the car handleed better. rode damn good for a car with a 2" drop on it and looked so much nicer, only downside is we had to go slower up large curbs or speed bumps where the mudflaps would scrape but othere then that not a big deal. id take this onto dirt consturction sites and never had issues. can't wait to drop the ss down a bit.
