The last time I replaced the rotors, I bought a set of upgraded form the OEM set. There is something wrong with the front end design that is causing this. We must all complain to the NTSA and get something done about this. They know they have a problem but will not admit it.
But what about the tons of people who AREN'T having trouble? 63k, I have over 1/2 my pad life still, no warped rotors, and car stops on a dime. Over 50% of the problems could probably be solved by driving habits. They aren'tgoing to recall something that the driver themselves could cause as easily as a defective part can. When the LS7 Z06's first came to, the roofs were peeling off, yeah recall that because the owner has nothing to do with it...but the warped rotor's can be driver fault, OR, malfunctioning equipment.

my '07 is NON ABS 2.2L Auto with the Traction Control. @ 15k Miles they were warped bad, Dealer first cut the rotor and pad slapped. My must have done it while it was hot or something as when the rotors cooled, ithad a HORRIBLE grinding noise on cold, light break pressure.

After a decent drive or 1 or 2 hard stops it would go away, sound normal, but come back after cooling. Seeming warped so much that when hot, it was fine. Nuts.

So taking it back they replaced rotors and pads and have been fine for the last 6-7k miles.

I also broke in the pads myself, compared to my wife and not a issue since.

just by looking at that picture i would say about 5/32nds of pad left...but it is hard to tell...if you had a tire gauge or something to measure it you would know exactly how much pad is left
