Ok, was able to put the MOOG springs in this morning before the temperature drops out. Hopefully they will settle a little bit, otherwise I'm back at stock ride height. MOOGs aren't terribly different than the stock spring, maybe 1/2 coil less. The coils aren't quite as tight in the progressive section, so maybe that plays a roll. I feel better that I have an actual spring under there though instead of a solid piece of steel.. ZZP on left, MOOG in the middle, stock on the right Rear with MOOG springs
That’s what I thought, to bad they don’t stand behind their products they sell , others have used this kit on HHR’s as per the reviews, I’ve not seen any problems like you experienced.
Letterman- that looks much better & will improve with a little time. If you're in a hurry, throw a couple bags of mulch or something heavy in the far back end, for a while.
I generally measure from tire tops to fender lips. That way the ground underneath has little effect. But everyone has their own methods.
My springs did settle, but it took lil more than 50 miles, or so. My wheel gaps are even. The way I like it.
:-) Yeah, I'm in no rush. My daily grind for the most part has me covering more than 30 miles a day, so I'm confident that they'll "settle" after a while. If it settles down another inch or so I'll be satisfied. Rolled it for a while right after I installed the springs and the ride is considerably better :-)
