I am thinking the same thing you are about leveling, and keeping the ride smooth. I'd suggest trying one thing at a time. If you are eventually going to level, start with the rear leveling springs first. The SC springs will increase the rear roll rate, thereby reducing understeer. This is the same direction a roll bar in the rear will take you....increasing the rear roll rate and reducing understeer. I have no way of knowing the relative difference between the two, but if you are going to lower, do those springs first and try it out. It may be enough for you without the bar. The roll bar is easy to install, so don't think you have to do everything at once. Also, rear springs will lower the rear, reducing the center-of-gravity in the rear, and thereby making the handling feel like an increased rear roll stiffness. Igottawoody here can explain better than I can about all of this. I don't think it would be an issue with the components you are describing, but you don't want to go too stiff in the rear compared to the front. Sure, it'll feel more responsive, but you don't want to induce oversteer (NASCAR speak "loose", tail swinging around) on the street. I hope this helps, and let us know how it comes out. God Bless, Marc
Please see my reply on your other shock post. BTW, A roll bar will not increase the ride harshness unless you are leaned over in a curve, or you hit a pothole with one rear wheel and not the other. In other words, on a straight road or over speedbumps the bar doesn't come into play and the ride is stock. Again, Igottawoody can tell you more than I can.
I think it comes down to this. If you want to leave the stance "look" the same, a rear sway bar will reduce understeer (Nascar speak "push" or plowing) and make the car feel more responsive without much if any ride penalty.....other than in curves or over potholes.
If you want to level the car for looks, you need the rear springs, and reportedly the SC springs don't hurt the ride much at all. The springs will also reduce understeer, but I don't know how much relative to a bar. The springs are cheap, and easy to install, so try those first and see how it feels. Then, if it isn't enough, try adding the bar (which costs more) and report back for us. I have been contemplating doing the exact same thing sometime next year. Please let me know how it comes out. One thing at a time allows you to isolate an item and make a considered decision on how it worked.

I agree with Marc, about just doing one thing & testing it before doing another..
Best way to pinpoint if or what was done was better, or not..
I chose the SS/TC springs on the rear since I have the FE3 'sport tuned' suspension. & do haul stuff.. They 'leveled' mine & a seem to be a very good match together in ride quality & handling, & I have many miles on mine with this combo to confirm this...
I really don't notice any diff in ride quality..Still rides very well..If anything, feels better & definately handles better.
"If " I had the FE1 'soft suspension', I think I would have 'leveled' with the older SS/SC rear springs. I feel they would be a better match to the softer front springs..
Just my .02
