Which part do you call the isolator ? Top or bottom ?
I'm guessing bottom.
When they do wear. Is it the material that there made of that is the problem ?

The bottom is rubber, and it does wear out. Check out the diagram above. It has all parts labeled.

Actually, they are a hard plastic. The top or jounce bumper has an extra foam type ring that the spring seats against. That foam ring (white part in the picture) is what I consider to be the isolater.

And I was generalizing calling anything that bufffer a spring and its seat an isolator.

Yes ... the isolator is on the Top Jouncer.

Be Sure to match the Jouncer to the proper spring.

Example.... If you are using rear Cobalt SS replacement Springs # 10390024 to lower the HHR, they use a different upper Jouncer with a shorter bumper.
I just put these on the rear of my 2LT and they make the HHR look much better.
It is the softer SS spring version and am completely satisfied. Approx. 1-1/2" drop.

I also added a TTR rear sway bar and that finished stabilizing the rear.

That has been my experience as well, gotta get both.

I've had the rear TTR bar on mine since about '09, that & the Cobalt SS/TC rear springs, excellent combo on my 2LT Panel.
