I've read that the KYB shocks and struts are FE3 spec replacements..... you may want to give those a shot.

I just did the Cobalt SS/SC springs as I've seen on some other threads, like the Lowering with GM parts thread. The results were 1-1/8th inch in the back and only 1/4 inch in the front. The ride quality hasn't changed but , I'm a bit disappointed that it didn't drop the 1 inch in front like I expected. I don't think it will settle 3/4 inches in front anytime soon. Springs were less than $40 each, new.

I have not been under my HHR (too lazy). Does the 2LT sport suspension include a rear sway bar? What is special about the sport suspension (other than 17" wheels/tires)? TIA

No sway bar on the 2LT... it has firmer shocks and struts.

^ X 2 ^

All HHRs' have rear torsion bars, but no additional Anti-Sway Bar, like it should imo..

Goldline leveling springs + TTR sway bar = better road manners, more fun in the curves and a more aggressive posture.

I just installed a Progress Bar on the back today (Got a used one from a forum member, Thanks Clarke33 ) I only took it around a few blocks so I could check the torque on the bolts after a few turns and bumps..... MAN! this thing stays FLAT...... Very impressed so far. Can't wait for some twisties

Took about a half hour, didn't even lift the car....... It took so long because fiddling with the plates while holding up the bar and starting the bolts is tricky with arthritis and a bad back...... After getting the 4 bolts started I took each out, one at a time, added some locktite and then torqued them down.

Piece of

So far I've added the bar, lighter wheels and sportier tires to the FE3 "sport" suspension and it's a totally different car.... Heck I was impressed with the stock 2LT...
