Well than shot original bushings would cause the clunk, install the new ones without the shims!

Out of curiousity, why no shims on the new ones?

because the rubber being spongy in the original sway bar bushings, will cause your sway bar contact issues, I have the Energy Suspension greaseable sway bar 25 mm bushings in my 2007 with 1.5 inch lowering springs with out the shims and the sway bar does not contact the LCA, so , if the if you start out without the shims and everything is fine then job done, or if there still is contact (which I doubt) then you have the option of installing the shims as required

Thanks George, I was able to find them with a little help from youtube. The nut labeled as #2 is a huge PITA to get to...

I used a 10 mm socket from the bottom and a 15 mm open end wrench on the nut on top.

I did the same, but I felt that I needed to either be an octopus or contortionist in order to really get on it...

If you were to search "sway bar bushings" I bet you would find at least one thread detailing how to do it.
