No! you should DRIVE the car to seat the brakes, not pump them up, a crucial part is not letting the hot pads stop on the rotor (to avoid material transfer). Since you have sawn the video I will not elaborate.

Pumping up the brakes only acts on the hydraulics.

Ahh ok. Yea the videos I seen had it wrong. I can see people not doing that. Raybestos always seemed harder to seat in. Long day at work today. I been out of the industry for a while. So some of the dialect has been lost.

Whopper, just and only just to clarify is the procedure you mention also termed burnish the brakes?? just to break it down, lol

"burnish" - no it isn't a term I have heard related to breaking in the brakes.

But it might be a British term perhaps?

However "burn" is one I have heard of related to the brakes on my old Volvo after 3 laps of the local track years ago. I have never seen so much smoke coming out the front wheel wells before.

This fixed my issues with the wheel shaking during medium braking. In the past I would have taken this to the shop and had the rotors turned down costing $100+. I had no idea it would be this easy to fix.. Thanks folks for the informative posts!
