Weird noise when turning left, like rubber rubbing on something? Getting louder.

Maybe I'm wrong, but just can't see a rubber boot being the only thing on the steering shaft there..
Not a bearing, but an old fashioned "universal joint".

donbrew- Yes I am aware the Intermedfiate shaft has U-joints on both ends.. I was referring to where the I. shaft goes thru the firewall..

WD 40 is a bad idea to lube anything that requires grease. It cleans whatever grease is there off.
