solman98. Based on Kev's description earlier(and the lack of burning smell) it's sounds like a pressure plate failure. Yeah, awful low mileage for clutch replacement, but doesn't sound like riding the clutch and burning up the disc.
I hope Kev will take some pictures of the bad parts and post them here when he gets it fixed.

Only thing I've seen was it's not moving....... So yea, I'm curious also.

Solman, I had followed up with more info on another older thread.

As for what my boss found out from the fleet mech he said $500+clutch So still $700-800 but also not $1,200 like the dealership wanted!

Also, sounds to me like I need an SS HHR with a 5sp and LSD. lol

Thanks Kev. I've done numerous clutch jobs(long ago) back in my days as a mechanic. I'm always curious to see what part failed and why.

I am getting in contact with my cousin who is Store Manager of an AZ that I can get a cheap clutch kit from him. It's the normally $318.xx kit that he is going to sell to me for $200. Then hopefully I can work WITH him to get it fixed! I still need to do all the suspension and brakes that I already have parts for!
