2006 - HHR 2.4L with P0700 and P0741 code
Hi, guys. Been looking on the web and on here, but haven't found an answer to this problem. Car drives fine for the most part. Wife says she hears an noise when she is accelerating fast.
Been reading around that it may be a bad TCC solenoid. Where is that located? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Assuming that the codes in the title are codes you pulled from the car.
P0741 means the Torque converter clutch is stuck OFF. i.e.: you don't have overdrive.
Unless you have a lift and some mechanicing experience you need a pro to do it. There are some complicated tests to be sure which part is bad. A fluid change might fix it.
Here are SOME of the reasons for it.

Thanks for the fast reply. I was afraid of that. I did do a fluid/filter change of the trans hoping it would help, but it didn't. I cleared the codes, but them came back after a drive on the highway.
