64 error codes

Left key on, battery dead, surprise.
Started easily but stays in 2nd gear. Will not upshift, reverse works.
OBD said 64 error codes, almost all are transmission related.
dash message -- check ESC and check traction thing.
any advice would be greatly appreciated.
thanks, jim

to the forums!!

Sounds like a discharged battery. Is it original? You may even need a new one.

What he said. A simple jump start which I guess is how you got it started, won't be enough. Get the battery charged, and replace it if it won't fully charge, or if it does again. Auto parts stores can test the battery as well as the charging system for free.most likely.

Could have fried the TCM with improper jump start technique. Some people have found that easy to do, especially if the Darth Vader hood is missing over the control modules.

The metal control module cases are grounded, so touching one with a hot 12V+ will dead short fry them. Don't even need a spark.

I think there are only about 20 TCM codes, 5 or 6 of them are also ECM codes.
