I know this is an old thread, but I think I have a bad throw-out bearing in my SS... If I have to replace that, might as well put in a new clutch kit. I looked up the Exedy site, and they do not one. Has anyone had any luck with a particular kit?
DonBrew, do you have access to a manual for clutch replacement?

I am dropping the sub frame once again as well this January. I am pulling the motor for some forged parts and throwing in another clutch. Any questions let me know.

You'll notice the clutch will say Daiken on it, which is Exedy and they offer an OE replacement as well as staged clutches. The OE part number from Exedy is GMK1010. Get the flywheel machined as well. Should run about $65 bucks at most shops. The flywheel bolts are also TTY. If you decide to machine the flywheel you will need new ones...$6.50 a bolt...and you need 6
What is TTY?
Do I need to replace the flywheel bolts regardless of whether I machine or replace the flywheel?

Torque To Yield. Basically the threads deform when installed to lock in, so, yes replace.

Actually, Mitchell says they are "prevailing torque fasteners" and they may be reused IF:

The last spec is the one that is tough to determine, so safety says replace.

That's what I thought... Is this the correct bolt?

As far as I know all of the fasteners on an HHR are metric, you are showing SAE sizes.
