dead pedal syndrome

from other thread reads i will start with the clutch master cylinder. easy to get at and seems most logical.

gm part $72
knock off $32

advice on purchase, get 2 cheaper or the gm and hope it lasts as long as 2 cheaper.

symptoms
-pedal stays half pumped
- to the floor shifting
-difficult engagement

I'd go with the GM part just because of the duty cycles it sees, and do you really want to change it more than once?

I'd guess the $32 is rebuilt. I would not care because it is the $1 worth of seals that wear out. There is no wear on the metal parts, except for the spring and pivot joint.

I'd go GM without even thinking about asking the question that you did... but that's just me

GM doesn't manufacture it and there may be several different suppliers during the life cycle of GM buying the part. IMHO there will be no difference in quality.

I doubt that there are any rebuilt units, as they are made of plastic.
