Trans swap

Anyone swap from a manual trans to an automatic. Just wondering how much work it might be

Im going to go out on a limb here and say probably not worth it.
the transmission is computer controlled, which means you would most definitely need to swap the ECU, and possibly add a trans control module.

Other than the transmission itself, there is a LOT of things that would have to be changed. The electronics as mentioned above.
Then there's engine/ trans mounts that are different between the 2. Master cylinder on the brakes. Center console, shifter, shifter cable, axle shafts.
Want remote start ? The 5 speed car doesn't have it. What about the brake and clutch pedals ? Etc. Etc.

Guess it's obvious. A lot easier to buy or trade for one with an auto trans.

X2 , it can be done but why? A ton of work and no real advantage.
