so it is ok to just do the trany mounts and not the engine mount, i thought you had to do both at the same time

You can do one or the other, but it is best to do them all at once.

i figured, i was just curious, im just really tired of the engine slamming around when engine braking and driving at rush hour speed.

Damn! Snapped a bolt installing. And it's a Sunday, so no parts today. Getting to work tomorrow will be interesting!

I clearly don't have the tools & experience of others if this is a 10 minute install. Took me 10 minutes to get the darn windshield washer tank out of the way.

Ouch. If you snapped one of the 2 on the body side, drive it very easy. Don't want to twist the new mount.
If it's one on the engine side, it should be OK.(center one would be the best to break) Still. Just drive easy and don't let it torque load on the remaining bolts.
? Were you using a torque wrench? Also, did you put a jack under the engine to take the weight load off while installing?

Um yeah, the instruction sheet from TurboTech, and the service manual list the procedure in opposite order, so I got the torque specs backwards. Ooops!
So it was one of the 3 on the motor side.

I still think I'll take a different car to the parts dept. tomorrow.
