Yeah you might enter that new Avatar image, which I like! You had a long run with the old one.

Thought it was time for a new one but the one I wanted would upload with the animation, I've had that problem in the past and Sindy had to do it for me.

In sticking to the topic, how about we do away with the featured HHR all together, no fuss, no muss! (boy wont that cause a stir, either way no one ever likes 100% of whats being done)
I personally don't like that idea, I like looking at everyone's HHR's!

You hit the nail on the head

As for what Featured HHR is/should be, I'd like to hear our notorious site administrator's opinion.

On fiberglassrv.com, the administrator selects random pics taken from the gallery, and displays these pics on the front page. Very simple to do, and no one complains.

Oh also, plenty of stock cars have won featured. Members vote on what they see and like. We are not going to get things more messy with performance vs appearance and what not.
I have seen awesome cars that post horrible pics and don’t win. To win, you need to take the time and get some good pictures. Good quality pictures in well chosen locations will almost always win.

Not really true anymore and that is my main complaint. It wa originally about a nice car, in a nice setting, and nice pictures. Stock HHRs used to win (I just went through the archives and only four stock have won.) Not really the case anymore, a recent winner's pics were so blurry that you couldn't read the vinyl graphics on it. Many driveway shots have won too.

But the voters spoke by their vote! That's what they liked.

My vote is cast similar as when I step into a polling booth, it's personal and private. That's my vote for my set of criteria and others use theirs, thank goodness we all don't have the same criteria.

Looks like we all define 'nice' a wee bit differently.

OK - I've got one for the rulebooks. We wouldn't allow Edge of Speed as his had his website (advertising not allowed I assume). What about panels that have their business graphics on it? To me, they should be allowed, as that is the real purpose of the introduction of the panel - sort of a business use.

If you allow business graphics, then it goes without saying that a web site should be allowed and we're back to wondering the real reason that Edge of Speed was disqualified. There was no reason and in my opinon then and now, he was treated badly and we lost a potential member. I have not followed the situation with the latest car of the month, but it sure seems that we've lost another member by not having laid out rules for the monthly submission. If we planned rather than reacted, there would be no upset people.

That is my rant.
