I never in the world would think this would get so ugly all I wanted to do is show my HHR and yes it has www on it thats my watermark its on every picture I take as protection Im not here selling anything I just wanted to make some new friends.Its all in fun and making new friends and sharing our knowlege. As for the rules how about this to make it more open to everyone from stock to wild have the contest with a theme ex:HHR with Hot Rod .HHR by water, HHR by beach etc etc etc what ever the mind can think of and should be judged on whole theme and not just HHR

This started as a photo contest. If you read the past, and look at the previous winners many are parked in beautiful places or in front of landmarks. It was not meant to be about mods. Snap shots are easy to come by. Thinking ahead for the right location, time of day ect. is the key to great pics. Mild or wild, sedan or panel they are all HHRs and if you are here you should be able to choose which one you like the best each month. One catagory is plenty, just present the best pics you can produce and go for it.

 

I have been known many of times to spontaneously pull over to take a picture because I thought it would look cool! Ed has gotten used to it. I do that quite often!

 

Ok, this crap is getting out of hand. "Featured HHR" is a vote of the hottest HHR posted for that month. There is no need to change any rules, or have different catagories. It has been the same since the site was established and should stay that way! Steve has put too many .com's on his pics. I am sure that he didn't know that it was kinda of a no-no. But there have been many sponsered cars that have won! What is the difference? Ok He only had four posts, and not on the site for long! Well If I were him I would not like to stick around for my 100th post, the way that he has been treated. Just very glad that I didn't get this response when I entered, or I would be gone! I just feel that it is getting a little too serious, and maybe cut out the whole "featured" thing. We are all supposed to be on this site cause we enjoy our cars, now we are arguing about the rules for voting the best one of the month. I think we should delete all threads about past and present "featured" cars, and do away with the whole "featured" thing! Todd(Uma)

 

I said I was going to keep my opinion to myself, we'll I lied! My understanding is that its based on the creativity of the photo. Since we all own HHRs its cool to look at different settings and places we take pics of our HHRs. To me my HHR is always HHR of the month and I post pics here to share with others. If I don't win; who cares! Do I think the rules need to be tweeked? If the winner got a prize of some value; yes I do, but to have a little bitty picture of your car in the upper corner put up for less than a month; no I don't. I swear I feel like I'm in a Corvette Forum! GROW UP!

I've had fellow members tell me for months that I should enter before I actually did. I was waiting to find a decent place to take a picture. (I live in the desert and don't venture out often)
I think most vote for their favorite looking HHR, not thier favorite HHR owner or who has the most posts or who has been here longer.
(I'm member 224, and this is only post 112). Some have been here a lot less, but have ALOT more posts than I do!
I never even looked at # of posts or length of time here when I voted for EdgeOfSpeed. I just really liked the paint job.
