I'm going to put this theory to the test next month. Should be fun to watch!

Sure, I noticed the .com stuff in Steves pics. Who cares? I still voted for him cause its a hot ride. Next month I may vote for the scenery or style of the pic. Maybe the member just deserves to win on enthusiasm. Please dont complicate this casual contest with too many rules.

Well said tireman...I agree with your analysis of the situation. However, I agree that there should be some rules on when you can enter and agree with the 30 day/10 post minimum before entering. Otherwise, you will see people join just to win and then just ride off into the sunset. While I realize we receive nothing but recognition on the front page for a month (not even the winner certificate we are promised), it's a matter of being a little active prior to entering...not just joining and entering right off the bat....thus getting the posts we saw concerning this HHR.

I think great pictures are important and shouldn't be focused on the mods. We all know what most other members have done anyway...why list them anyway. I also think that driveway pictures should be an instant disqualification...if you can't take the time to go out and ride around in your car and get a little creativity happening, why bother. We can all step outside our front door and snap a few pictures.

As for sponsored or hightly modified HHR's going against a more basic HHR...check out the voting for the month I won. I was up against some great looking HHR's and edged out 2 pretty snazzy HHR's for a victory by 1 vote...so it is possible to win based on presentation.

BTW...for the record, I voted for chad. He's a longstanding poster, with a great presentation of pictures. That's what its all about IMHO.

Well said. These cars are SO photogenic and I am always taking pix of my Blackie.

And I will admit I did vote for yours long before this thread--I love black and chrome and an understated look...but think ALL HHR's look great in any color, color combo and the personalization options are almost endless!

I love checking out a member's gallery--so keep posting pix! As for the argument of who can enter..I leave that to the herd to decide.

Since I don't have my HHR yet(C'mon American Axle/UAW-settle!)I think I have an at least slightly less biased viewpoint.Since the category is Featured HHR,not Featured HHR Owner(hey, there's an idea for another monthly feature!),vote on the vehicle for whatever reason you choose(car mods, setting, photo composition, whatever)keeping the owner out of it.Otherwise it just becomes a personal popularity contest

I voted for those who follow the rules.
No free advertising, should be taken out of the game and try another month without the advertising!
Not nice to break the rules!
