With that said, please hit the report button when you know/suspect one of our members has created another user name. A few names have been banned for that! Admin appreciates your help! We don't catch everything but we do often catch stuff even before you guys do!

 

It appears to me that the rules are not clear enough and this is what created this entire situation in the first place. The rules clearly state:

- All images must be hosted in our gallery to assure all members and visitors can see them. (pretty self explanatory here)

- 10 images max. Please take the time to take good pics of your baby. (pretty self explanatory here)

- We will not consider low quality images or images in clustered areas. (what is the definition of low quality? clustered areas? this should be more definitive)

- One submission per person. You may edit your submission to add more info at any time. (has the edit after 3 days feature been removed? If not, how can this be done w/o bothering the already overworked mods. There are 4, but only 2 post actively anymore. Maybe a couple more are needed.)

- No external links please (what defines an external link? text on the submissions? what about decals a person may have on their HHR for another website or forum...does that automatically exclude them? This whole area needs to be addressed)

- Additional rules to follow as necessary. Taking feedback :) (has anything been changed since these original rules? I remember one about having to be the owner after Grohlinator won and it was determined that his dad actually owned the HHR and there was a bunch of dissention over that one too)

The bottom line in my book is that it would seem only fair for there to be a minimum number of posts and membership term. Otherwise you'll have every Tom, Dick and Harry with a custom HHR joining...entering and probably winning because of it and you'll end up with all the tension that's being shown now.

 

This contest has officially become a bad joke.

I say chuck the concept.

 

How about admin make the selection! We'll vote in secret amongst ourselves! , all 3 of us!

 

Sorry to have started this whole mess...I had nothing against the guy, as I said in my post...I was one of the early ones to welcome him to the site & told him his ride was nice! But I did NOT recommend he enter his HHR for the feature. I think that should be for established members that contribute to the site. He may very well be a great guy that would have stuck around & helped people along the way...but how were we to know that after four posts? The others have been around for awhile and are part of this cool community. If I were brand new & someone recommend I enter, I wouldn't just because I didn't know my way around, you know get a feel for things & the members. But what's done is done, hopefully we won't find ourselves with a similar situation in the future!

 

It's not a joke...the rules just to be a little more definitive, so people know what can and cannot be done when making a submission. I belong to another forum and the rules are clearly stated and we haven't had any problems at all since we started in September 2006.

Another thing is that there should be no photoshopped pics on submissions otherwise my backgrounds would be the great wall of China, Taj Mahal, and the Opera House in Sydney
