2008 2.4 lifetime mileage

The The Red Sled chapter of my ownership life is over and I thought peeps may find this interesting.

I kept track of every fill & mileage. This graphic is a 2.4 auto in Seattle (mildly hilly location and a mildly heavy foot.

I was always hoping for 2 more MPG but here's the tale of the tape!

Since we bought our 2007 2LT, we have not really had it on a long trip. But this March, we are going to Disneyland, and are flying out of Seattle. Going to hit the I5 from the border and see how she does....lol
I just hope that I find a nice kind long stay parking lot that will treat her well while we are gone......
With our snow tires on...its dipped a bit in avg city mileage....but I hope to get around 30 mpg on the hwy.....Should have the snows off by then too.

Keep out of the VVT RPM range and you'll hit it! :P

Very nice records. I am amazed and impressed that you were able to average $2.30 per gallon. Looking at Seatles current gas prices they are exactly the same as here in Phoenix and we haven't hit below $2.98 in 2 years. Those early years really helped.

I too keep gas records on my 06 LT 2.4 auto.

My average mpg is 30.4, max 38, min 21
Average cost for gas is $2.90 the lowest was $1.51 (10/06), the highest was $4.08 (4/12).

I have 108600 miles on the HHR

I'd like to know how you managed 88 mpg for the max.
