Great mod. Of course hope you don't have the same problem I did. When I first picked up my SS my "reading glasses required" vision thought that 80 mph was 60 mph for a month. Pretty lucky since that was pre-radar detector install.

140 MPH "SS" SPEEDO Mod/Installed
It Must Be Friday in Some Part of the World !
So I got to Squeeze in the ride at my buddies shop this evening to do the install ! Before I go any further let me thank Andrew "NxlKing2304" for his post with info on how to remove the cluster, sure did make things easier ! For starters it was about 45 minute swap making sure we didn't scratch anything Removing & Re-Installing :
After the install I turned the Key and !
Positives:
1) Started Up and Appeared Fine
2) Looks Cool!
3) Calibration / Cool!
Negatives:
1) Odometer Must Have a Memorey as this I/P Cluster is shy some 9,933 Miles as the original said 20,930 when removed !
2) Rear Panel Doors are not operating from any switch?
Hopefully the above two problems are just a programing issue! Also I would like to say the Cluster I installed was supposedly from an 08' SS and installed into our 08' 1LT. Remember what works for one doesn't always work for another! I will let you guys know what happens with the mechanic and then the dealership in the next day or two !

Well after posting the pic and then thinking WTF the milage hasn't changed ! So I've probably put on 15 miles with no registration of it ! Also I tried to clear the A & B Trip with no luck ! Could be an experiment gone bad or could be a programing issue ! I'm hoping for the later .....

Kevin,
At this point if it were me. Id split the cluster you took out and see if the DIC circuit is swappable into the SS. It might house your mileage and other functions??
I did a Cadillac Escalade/GMC Sierra cluster like that. The front half was the classy looking Cadi mated to the rear of my original GMC Sierra cluster. They snapped together and all worked with no mileage reprogramming.
Proly a bad used cluster ???
P.S. Nice looking Ride!

Mods Todate: Added by me
Rear sway bar / Stubby Equinox antenna / 09 USB Radio / Invision DVD Headrests / Two-tone (black-silver) seat covers / HomeLink auto-dimming rear view mirror / Rear panel A/C plug / Factory Fog Lamps / Steering wheel radio buttons / 09 leather shifter / Running boards / Mud flaps / Rear Bumper Fascia Protector / 06 17" Satin Rims / Chevy SSR two-tone horns (way louder) / Tinted forward windows / Chevy PAL > taken out..Bla!
I should have just bought a LT2 :)
