There's a bunch of Camaros and 1 Impala SS running around with 200 MPH speedometers. In order to make that work, I installed replacement drivers in the clusters which don't effect the ODO. Don't know if the HHR is set up in a way I could do the same mod, but if you really want this done I might be convinced to see if it's possible. I would need to see a cluster and the pages from the manual that show the connections to the back of the cluster. I'm not here very often but email from the links at camaroelectronics.com should get an email to me and an answer.

Did the OP ever get his replacement IP to work correctly?

If not, may I suggest it may need to be programmed by the dealer to match his VIN. The IP is one of many "modules" all connected together with the low speed CAN bus.

OP Here ! I'll know more early next week! I am at a point of Modifying the original IP inards with the SS Face installed over it ! Am redoing the LED's on the Original IP inards and am in the middle of seeing if the Speedo Electronics can be swapped ! Might be going the long way around but I will "Get-ur-Done" ! Can't let anyone Down, especially GDZHHR !

Just put the new one in, with the lower mileage and don't complain. If you never would have posted that, you would never have had proof that your car wasn't a low mileage one! Imagine in the miles never changed, and in 5 years you had a panel with 10k!

What a F^ckin Fiasco ! This is my current stage of the 140 mph SS Speedo Install ! For whomever said it can't be just swapped out, they were correct ! Inclosed is our "One Off Hy-Brid 140 mph 1LT Cluster" :

I ended up combining the 1LT inerds with the SS Gauge Plate! I also had "NxlKing2304" install White LED's on the original inerds as to get the correct SS illumination! I am now down to having my tune guy program the correct percentage out of the mileage so the Speedo "WILL" read correct! For anyone following this post you can have an SS Speedo but just be prepared for some B.S. along the way !
