2.2 life

From a mechanical standpoint, all a tune does is change the operating paremeters for the fuel system, emissions systems, torque management, and some other stuff. Sort of like the old days of adjusting timing, dwell, fuel delivery, and putting in a shift kit. It won't do anything to diminish engine life.

Makes sense. Running at a higher temp probably would not do anything to hurt the engine though. My only concern there would be emissions systems, what higher temps might do the catalytic converter.

Have used Mobil 1 in all my engines for years, I find it to be the best thing that can be done for engine longevity. Am thinking about switching from Mobil 1 5W 30 to Mobil 1 10W 30 being i live in Alabama now and not dealing with the very cold winter weather
