after the warranty then what

i have not posted but a few times since becoming a member.but i fill the love for the hhr.some have left but new ones join everyday. they listen, look, and search for answers.my question is if you had issues when you had the warranty? what do you with the same issues when the warrant runs out.

If you are have the knowledge and tools you fix them yourself or you can buy an extended warranty. I find the manufacturers warranty to usually trump all others in coverage and ease of use. For GM it would be GMPP.

I think what is being said is, if you had a problem covered under warranty and then that same problem appears again after you are out of warranty what do you do. Usually the dealer will work with you and cover it again but that depends on how much time/miles have been put on the car since the repair.

You ask the dealer if it is still covered or not. Some items they will address even if the car is out due to the warranty on the repair or part involved.

Example: I had wheels replace due to clear coat failure. They were covered under warranty for 12 month even after the car was out of warranty.

Best to ask and if they say what ever is the concern is not covered you fix it yourself or take it to a shop that is able to deal with the problem.

As ChevyMGR has said the factory warrranty is the best if you do decide to extend it.
