Aftermarket remote start

I am wanting to install an aftermarket remote start on my 2011 HHR Lt. I am interested in the viper 4806V model. I should have said I want to have one installed. I don't trust my self enough to do it my self. I was thinking maybe best buy, they carry the viper remotes. Could anyone tell me if I will need any additional modules ect . I have heard that you will get a quote, and then they will tell you that you also need this bypass , and this module. Any advice would be appreciated

Can't help you other than.......

If that is the same Viper that made alarms, they were top quality. Had one on a "trick" El Camino that was great. Had the perimeter warning that scared the heck out of people.

Your quote.........when you ask for the quote, tell them you want it, "out the door....everything included". That should resolve that dilemma.

You WILL need a few modules! Bypass at least. You might try your local yellow pages for a shop that specializes, they usually do tints, stereos, RS etc. In fact, I believe Viper's website can direct you to installers.

I sort of researched RS for my 2011 that does not have the factory option and I think there is a way to make an after market RS work with your factory FOB.

You have scrolled through the DIC customization menu to make sure you don't already have it, right?
