@ngelita...
I knew this day would come!! Someone would post that their 4th choice was black and they took it when it was my first choice! I took Victory Red instead (and love it)!

But I still see a Black every now and again.... and sigh. :)

I have grown to like all the colors... I was vehemently against a few when looking... but now I'd take about any color.

I was looking at one of two HHRs on my dealers lot, one with a sunroof, one without. I sat in the one without, had tons of headroom, no problems. sat in the one with a sunroof and bumped my head on the headliner. Had to put the seat all the way down (not what I wanted to do) just to clear. Kind of a shame, the sunroof'd model had a couple more options which I wanted.

I'm inherantly cheap when it comes to some things which nobody seems to think about, which is why I got the 1LT with steelies. If I hit a curb, the plastic cover is a ton cheaper than an aluminum rim to replace, and the 2LT comes with 17" tires. Nice, yes, but look into replacement costs. Those Firestones only last about 40,000 miles, and are more expensive to replace than 16's.

I would stick with the fuel grade that GM recommends for the 2.4L Ecotec engine. So what if you pay 25 cents more per gallon - that should not even be a factor in your reasoning.
I use a mid-grade (89 octane) fuel in my 2.2L HHR LS just to counter the rumor that there is not always just 10 percent ethanol in the tanks of service stations in New Jersey.
