The center armrest on the drivers side of my '09 is going down too far, so it's sloped downward. I pulled off the cover and see what appears to be a 14mm head in there, but it's nice and snug tight. How do I adjust or fix this so the armrest stops at parallel level?

Guess I should have done a search first. Sorry, didn't realize this was a common issue for the HHR. Knew about the front end clunk (which I have), but not the armrest. Thanks!!

 

Well at least you got armrests. My 5 speed SS didn't come with any.
No big deal. I don't miss them anyway since I'm too busy "banging" gears.

 

I removed my armrests years ago....

 

It's all good, The Search function has tons of valuable insight to fixes from about anything you could think of..

PS: I still enjoy having both my armrests.
