Well got the car into the body shop this afternoon,insurance wants to patch but the owner of the shop who has known my wife for years is going to push for replacing the bumper cover.And he is gonna try some how to make it an SS one BTW I have rental on my coverage and was set up with another HHR to drive

 

Insurance still wanted to patch even after the body shop owner pushed for replacement.So I decided to take it up the food chain a little and go after the head shark I ended up calling the CEO of this major insurance company. Didn't get to talk to them but I did get called back by the district claims mgr.who authorized a new OEM (not reconditioned or aftermarket) bumper cover.Which btw is an SS cover,I just have to pay a few dollars more above my deductible

 

Glad they "saw the light", sometimes you just have to keep escalating up the chain of command, the higher you go, the more apt you are to get things your way.

 

Tim you have been on the phone all week, crabbing at people.. Is this some new kind of stress therapy. Lol.

So if you go with the SS bumper cover, are you also going to get the SS grill? You're gonna have that extra space below the grill with the SS bumper.

Well, don't I feel stupid. I guess I should have looked at the pictures a little closer. Anyway. It should look good when you get it fixed. Post some pictures of the finished repair when you get it done.
