Take your time. Enjoy the "hunt".

All the cars you are looking at are getting cheaper and cheaper. The longer you hunt the cheaper the car will be. Autotrader shows a lot of HHRs for less than $15k with low miles and those are ASKING prices.

A strange thing happened in the last few weeks here. The prices on all of the used HHR's that I found on Autotrader.com went up by about an average of $1000. The only ones that I saw near the price that I paid were ones that I had passed on when shopping earlier. I don't know why. Maybe the '08s are coming out but not getting shipped here. I still haven't seen a new one at the local chevy dealer since buying mine. It seems there is a shortage of HHR's in ND

Aren't new vehicles briefly test driven at the factory anymore? And what about the transport truck crew and the dealer prep crew and the final detailing crew who all have an opportunity to gaseously molest your new seats? How can you be sure somebody hasn't "toot tested" it even if the car is delivered brand spanking new? And if you God forbid got leather, you don't even want somebody who's spent time around cattle to tell you what your seat material has been exposed to

I've had a series of adventures to the service department with my HHR since I got it, though, and the service manager was surprised to see one with a manual!
