jeez wingfeather....

How is it difficult and labor intensive to open a glove box, squeeze 2 clips on each side to allow it to drop down, unclip 3 other clips and pull a filter out . It's about the same labor as what was required for engine air filters, 10-15 years ago.

In fact, it's far easier than the engine air filter. Of course the recommended change interval is much longer for that.

More wasted money and resources. But hey, it's your money and it's a free country!

I checked mine at 25k. No loose particles came out and it looked fine, so I left it in until 49k and replaced it then along with the engine air filter. Engine air filter probably had another 15k-20k of life left, too.

Thumbs up

I pulled my cabin filter out today. After two years, was it originally gray?
I only had a couple of leaves in mine.

Advanced Auto had nothing listed, Auto Zone needed to order one, which will come in tomorrow. ~$22 for the filter.

A lot easier to get at than the one that was in my 99 Buick.

Yes it is supposed to be grey. It is a charcoal filter to aid in odor control. Your replacement may not be grey, as it seems most are ordinary filters as opposed to charcoal. Hope it helps.

I have a stupid question. That filter looks like the pleated A/C filter that I buy from wal-mart for the house. I wonder if you could buy a house filter and cut it down and tap up the edges.
