CGS - Ceramic vs. Painted

I like ceramic coating, and especially for a steel intake tube, I would say it's worth it. Mainly for the corrosion protection, and it looks good. If you want to tell yourself you are going to get a couple more poines out if it, by all means do so. The price differance for the two through SoCal is what $30? $15 per HP, if you could acutally get that.
First i wasnt comparing a drag car to a street car just simply trying to prove my point that the cooler the air going into an engine the more horsepower it will produce. You made the statement it made no differance cause the air was moving so fast it would not change anything?(guess your in such a hurry to know your right you didnt understand that)
Second drag racing, stockcar racing, etc.. is where the aftermarket companies and the big 3 get ideas for increasing HP ,safety etc..items for cars so my comparison for colder air increasing hp through a scoop or a (COLD) air intake system would be accurate.

I don't like wraps, they can hold in moisture and cause rust.
But that's probably and incorrect statement also.
I'm sure all parties here have their own beliefs on what works and why they believe what they do. Doing things differently is what makes having an HHR fun and we all have our beliefs on what the outcome may be.
I bought my HHR because it's a cool looking car that gets great gas mileage and allows me to modify it to to make it unique and different from the others. If I happen to gain a little horsepower along the way...that's cool. If I wanted a speed machine I would have bought something different...but it wouldn't have been nearly as cool as the HHR.

Just remember, HP is great, TQ is better. Both are worthless if they are in a range you don't use.
Pease everyone.
