Just curious if anyone knows what a clutch replacement currently costs. When I bought my 05 Vibe they said about $750 as I recall. Once it gets to be most of the cost of the auto, well, you get the idea.

No clue, I'll worry about that when it needs to be replaced. My last car with a manual tranny went 180K before it had to be replaced. Rebuilding the auto will cost a lot more that a clutch/pressure plate replacement.

$750 sounds kinda high IMO. But also have not worked on one in that capacity either.

 

One of the members on this forum had his clutch replaced under warranty. Even though he didn't pay for it, he might remember a cost that was quoted.
