Dealer extended warranties ??
THe extended warranty like stated above is a gamble. The seller is betting you will never use the entire cost and youy are betting you may.
THere are always going to be cases were you will find someone who it has helped. I have seen some good examples. but on the other hand I have seen many more people who have paid much more money than they ever had problems with the car.
Like the $600 fuel pump above was atime where it covered it but how much did they pay for the policy? $1000-$2000?
There is no right or wrong answer here. If you can take the money you would spend on a policy and put it where you have it when you need it the gamble is not worth it. But if you are always short money and can not keep money saved for cases like this then the gamble might pay off.
The key is to do what fits your life or situation best.
In most cases the only thing most experts recomend buying a extended warranty on is a lap top as it is not a matter of if but when it will have an issue.
If you do buy a warranty the GM program is safe and reliable.
