General HHR Discuss anything related to the Chevy HHR that doesnt seem to fit into the more specific categories below.

Did the dealer give you this when you bought your HHR?

I got my antenna 2 weeks later and the keys 6 weeks later. Still waiting on the nice book cover though. lol

Actually, I'm surprised they give a paper manual at all any more. Software stopped give those years ago. It's all PDFs now.

They have to give it in print as still too many don't have internet let alone computers yet.

The legal implications of someone not being informed on many of the topics would give a lawyer an open door if anything should go wrong.

The owners manual is as much a legal disclaimer as it is an instruction book.

Um, O.K. maybe it's by the dash, maybe glove box. That led me to the Manual, found the page and felt like an idiot. I had my wife convinced the fuel door won't open unless you have the car key near it, so not just anybody can open it.
I also pulled in with the cheapie "Chevy 1.5 gallon on delivery" and couldn't find the tank release... got out and looked at the gas door... it was flush so I figured it HAD to have a release... went back in the car. Nope. Of course we all learn that it has that weird push to release... now... :)

My car came with a cheapie velcro/nylon case. Better than what others have got, it sounds like!

I got a full tank of gas(of 87-apparently the dealership personnel don't read the manual either.)but no fancy cover for the owners manual.

My new 2009 HHR's manuals were in a zip-lock bag, no cover or case. Thought that was kinda cheap. Oh well, not much room in the glove box anyway :)

Full tank of 93 octane, 50 gift card for fuel that came in mail about 8 weeks later, and a beautiful clear plastic storage bag for the manuals. Glad when I traded the silverado in I kept the leather cover off those manuals
