A DO They ?

A stupid question but
Do They make a rear wiper arm that folds back like the front wiper arms ?
Would make it easier to clean the rear window ,
If they do I think the spring pressure on the arm would keep it tight against the glass !
Thanks

Somewhere in the archives there is a thread about modding the rear wiper. Got to be at least 10 years ago or longer. Seem to remember it's as simple as trimming off a little tab on the arm or something. Did mine just after I bought the car in 2010.
Here it is today. I can move it away from the window to wash the rear glass. The spring in the arm will hold it snug to the glass when it's in the "down" position.

You don't have to remove it for the wiper mod... Just trim the tab.

However, I found that, for reasons unknown, that tab actually does contribute to holding the wiper down.

Well I trimmed the tab off mine over a decade ago, & I never noticed any r wiper fluttering. But who knows.

Changing the blade presents the same problem. It won’t swing out far enuff to get it on and off. Took me awhile to figure out that the cover at the pivot, which keeps it from swinging out, just pops off. I really like the idea of trimming it to let it swing out just a bit more. Why didn’t I think of that?
