Door Weather striping

I have been waiting for about a month and a half for a new door molding. The parts manager at the Chevy dealership called today and said that there is a national back order on them because one of the batches was made the wrong size. The molding I am talking about is the rubber seal on the drivers side front door that goes all the way around the door opening on the body side, not the door side.

Has anyone else had a problem with this part or anyone who works for chevy able to verify this back order?

I know they got 3 that were the wrong size durring this time.

It was wearing out very fast. They noticed it when doing some other waranty work and suggested I get it fixed while it was still under waranty so I went for it. I have a habit of dragging my foot when I get in and out. Or should I say had, when they pointed this out, i stopped doing it.

3 months now and they still havent gotten the right parts in. They had me come in at 8am today, after an hour of waiting, they said oops wrong one AGAIN.

3 months is excessive for this isn't it?

Tell the parts department to request an RFI with GM on the part.

Yeah that's it. I heard about those. I think there was 26 of them made that were 4 inches too long, and they accidently dropped a small block V8 in some of them. WHOO HOO, I think I'm losing it
