E-bay keyless entry transmitters
My wife lost the extra set of key/transmiter. I have anew transponder key on the way and I will get my local locksmith to cut it and the programming seems pretty straight forward.
Are the e-bay transmitters any good. I see they are around 20 bucks, and a GM is about 40 bucks. Seeing as I am going to have to pay the local Chevy dealer probably 50 bucks to program it, should I just buy the GM, or are the cheaper ones all right?

I have bought a new OEM fob and key off ebay before. You can find I had it cut at a locksmith and programmed at the dealer. I was charged about $30 to program both and it took about 10-15 minutes, they do have to do both sets together. I have not had any problems with mine. Just make sure you get the right one I searched by the part number on the fob, because remote start and non remote start fobs will show up.

Thanks
I got the part number off my remaining FOB. It is with remote start. I will get one bought so that I can rest easier about losing this set. I am sure that after I get the new key and FOB, that my wife wil find the other one. Thanks again

Yeah, I Know
But at least if she eventually finds the key and FOB, I will have an extra key, and another Fob for when she loses it again. Would just have to get it programmed instead of buying one also. Thanks
