I had a recent problem with a different model chevy and the shifter icon, the rpm's, the actally milage was not working. It was live driving blank. You could not even tell if you had gas in the car becasue it was always on E. It turned out for our Chevy Malibu had a loose wire connecting to the fuse box.

I checked to see if the lifter noise would go away by pressing the clutch like SoCalHHR said. The lifter noise did not go away it is still there. I will be taking it to the dealer on tuesday with all my problems see what they say. Question is there a deductible that i have to pay, becuase I got the extended warranty and it says $100.00 but is that after the 3/36000 manufacturer warranty

You shouldn't have to pay anything because you still have full warranty, as long as it wasn't the result of something you did to the vehicle yourself.

Then your cool. Dealerships will usually try to link modifications to your problem and give you a hard time. If they can find that your problem is the result of either a modification or stems from you tinkering with the vehicle then they dont have to honor that part of the warranty.

I dont know if its true or not but my friend has a honda s2000 and he blew the engine for over reving the engine, He said the dealer hooked it up to the computer and it showed he was changing gears in the red zone and they voided his warranty he only had 15,000 miles on the car he had to pay for the repair himself. Does anybody know if this can be true and do our cars have them

Yup, cars now days have a "black box" just like a plane. Your friends story is probably entirely true. If they found the damage to be his fault he is resposible for all cost and your warranty is null and void. They can't completely void all parts of the warranty though.

Any part fo your warranty can be voided if it can be linked to something you did. You put a nitrous kit on and blow the motor or tranny and the dealer can prove you had a kit on it, your stuck paying for the repair and it will be voided, I 've seen ti quite a bit. As for your $100.00 deduct, that for the extended warranty, 3yrs or 36k you dont have to pay anything.

I wonder if you got an automatic and you floor it all the time if they can say it was your fault.
