Floorboard install help needed

Picked up my new 2nd addition floorboards from the stealer and went to install and found that the brackets that bolt to the body needed to have holes drilled and tapped. What a pain. Anyway after searching for a metric bit and tap I got one side done before I ran out of day light. Has anyone had this issue? I have an 06 LT

Are you talking about RUNNING BOARDS? Here is a thread from the How To section and nobody seem to have any problem Also read on another forum how to do it and still no one had problems. Here is the thread https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/show...running+boards

Running boards install

Sorry ment runningboards. I looked at the other pictures of the install by the female HHR owner and my brackets look different. they do not line-up with any of the existing clip holes. I am assuming there was a design change along the line. I did do the drivers side last evening it took a little to make sure I was drilling and tapping the holes in the correct spot and turned out rather nicely.

It appears you have the mounting spots for a first design and your running boards are second design.

Are there plugs to put in the holes from the old clips?
