As you know the HONDA is a great car just like the HHR !
IMO I would keep the HONDA and HHR, if you can swing it !

The extra insurance is not much and nice having a second car !
I have the HHR and 4x4 truck and have not looked back lol.
And having a second car is nice when 1 in the shop or family member need a car for a few ways

 

I also gave up a Honda for my HHR, and because no one can figure out what the heck is wrong with this HHR with a quarter of the miles of the Honda, I regret it every single day.

 

I am pretty sure your Honda would have faired no better if it was left in a barn for years to become a Rat/mouse hotel.

Exactly. Have the Honda to beat around and pile miles and have the HHR to look cool in. I switched from a Focus. The Focus was roomier and more comfortable. The HHR sacrifices interior space for fenders that stick out.

 

I gave up a Honda Fit 5 speed manual when I got the first 08 HHR, Loved the honda but hated adjusting valves all the time. The HHR has done me well and since a Deer attacked my 08 I am loving the 09 even better !
I also have a 2001 Ram 1500 Sport that I haul with and is a work horse.
